    · ACE USA filed new rates for Ace Fire Underwriters.
    · The Hanover Insurance Co. lowered its Expense Constant, changed its minimum premium, and dropped its charge for $1 million/$1 million/$1 million Increased Limits of Liability coverage.
    · Nova Casualty filed new rates.
    · Travelers reintroduced rates for 5 carriers eliminated when it introduced the 21 tier scheme for Travelers Property Casualty Co. of America:
    - Travelers Indemnity Co. of CT
    - Travelers Casualty Insurance Co. of America
    - Travelers Casualty Co. of CT
    - Farmington Casualty Co.
    - Standard Fire Insurance Co.

  • E!Z Work Comp Rater (CA Version): June 19, 2010 changes

  • Cypress Insurance Co. (of Berkshire Hathaway Group) filed lowered rates effective 7-1-2010 for 4 Special Codes available to members of the CA Assn. of Independent Schools Safety Group:
    - 8868CIS (College (Professional Employees))
    - 9101CIS (College (All Other Employees))
    - 8742CIS (Salespersons (Outside))
    - 8810CIS (Clerical Office Employees NOC)


  • E!Z Work Comp Rater (CA Version): May 22, 2010 changes

  • Zenith Ins. Co. and ZNAT Ins. Co. filed new rates for class codes 0035 and 8631 to take effect 7-1-2010.

  • E!Z Work Comp Rater (CA Version): May 13, 2010 changes

  • The following rate filings take effect 7-1-2010 and were developed using the “Approved” 1-1-2010 Pure Premium rates as the benchmark with the exception of Everest National:
    · ACE USA for its “ARM” Unit;
    · Berkshire-Hathaway filed for Cypress and Oak River;
    · CompWest Ins. Co. filed a “CMTA Safety Premium Credit” -
    · Everest National and is continuing to deviate on 20 classes. Please Note: Everest used the 1-1-2009 Pure Premium rates as their benchmark in developing these rates;
    · The Farmers Group filed new rates for 9 classes: 800, 8006, 8008, 8017, 8078, 8803, 8834, 9092 and 9586. They also expanded eligibility for Farmers’ Account Completion Credit to all industries. Finally, they decreased the Contractors Group Credit;
    · Majestic Ins. Co.
    · Preferred Employers reduced the rates for Classes 8078 and 8389 and increased the maximum on their Schedule Rating plan.
    · QBE/General Casualty filed new rates for General Casualty Ins. Co. of Wisconsin and Regent Ins. Co. ;
    · Tower Ins. Co. of New York (dba “Tower Select”) and Preserver Ins. Co. filed a new Territorial Rating scheme; and
    · State Compensation Insurance Fund.

  • E!Z Work Comp Rater (CA Version): May 12, 2010 changes

  • The following rate filing takes effect 6-15-2010 and was developed using the “Approved” 1-1-2010 Pure Premium rates as the benchmark:
    · Argonaut Ins. Co. and Argonaut-Midwest Ins. Co. The rates for these two carriers are identical except for Classes 2585, 2586 and 2589 (Laundry and Dry Cleaning Market codes)

  • E!Z Work Comp Rater (CA Version): May 11, 2010 changes

  • Name Change: Effective 4/12, Employers Direct became Pacific Compensation Ins. Co. and will also be known as PacificComp.

  • E!Z Work Comp Rater (CA Version): May 10, 2010 changes

  • The following rate filing takes effect 6-15-2010 and was developed using the “Approved” 1-1-2010 Pure Premium rates as the benchmark:
    · Companion Property and Casualty Ins. Co.

  • E!Z Work Comp Rater (CA Version): April 30, 2010 changes

  • The following rate filings take effect 6-1-2010:
    · CompWest filed a lower rate for Class Code 8400 and also filed a “Safety Program Credit” for “Nut Hullers & Processors”
    · AmGUARD, EastGUARD and NorGUARD removed their deviation for Class Code 8389.

    New Carrier Added: Benchmark Ins. Co. has been returned to E!Z Work Comp Rater due to a huge surge in written premium in 2009).

  • E!Z Work Comp Rater (CA Version): April 12, 2010 changes

  • The following carriers have filed new rates for 6-01-2010:
    · Amerisure Mutual; and
    · Southern Ins. Co.
    PLUS New Carrier is added to E!Z Work Comp Rater: Sentinel Insurance Co. Ltd (part of Hartford group).

  • E!Z Work Comp Rater (CA Version): April 7, 2010 changes

  • The following carriers have filed rates that take effect 5-15-2010:
    · The Meadowbrook Group lowered rates for selective class codes for Star and Willilamsburg.

  • E!Z Work Comp Rater (CA Version): April 3, 2010 changes

  • The following rate filings take effect 5-1-2010 and were developed using the “Approved” 1-1-2010 Pure Premium rates as the benchmark:

    · The Hanover Group filed new rates for The Hanover Ins. Co. They also filed rates for the first time for four additional carriers. The other three “new” Hanover companies are Allmerica Financial Benefit Ins. Co., Citizens Ins. Co. of America and Massachusetts Bay Ins. Co. If you subscribe to E!Z Work Comp Rater and wish to have the rates for any of these three carriers added to E!Z Work Comp Rater, please let us know;
    · Harco National; and
    · The PMA Group of companies .

    Also: Southern Ins. Co. has filed new rates to take effect June 1.
