  • E-Z Work Comp Rater Update: 22 July 2010

  • · All three Nationwide carriers filed new rates plus added rates for two subclasses.
    · Employers Group filed rates a new carrier in PA, Employers Preferred.
    · The QBE Group filed rates for two additional carriers, North Pointe Ins. Co. and QBE Ins. Corp.

  • E-Z Work Comp Rater Update: 8 July 2010

  • The following carriers made changes to their Loss Cost Multipliers:
    · Federated Mutual and Federated Service ; and
    · The Liberty Mutual Group.

  • E-Z Work Comp Rater Update: 7 July 2010

  • · FirstComp increased its LCM.

  • E-Z Work Comp Rater Update: 1 June 2010

  • · The Westfield Group changed the LCMs for Westfield Insurance Co., Westfield National, and American Select.
    · The Great Americans Cos. added an Expense Constant.
    · The Donegal Group added a new carrier: Peninsula Ins. Co.

  • E-Z Work Comp Rater Update: 15 May 2010

  • OneBeacon Ins. Co changed its Loss Cost Multiplier:
    · By reducing its LCM to 1.073, OneBeacon created a new Tier 1 deviated -25% off the group’s base rates.

  • E-Z Work Comp Rater Update: 5 April 2010

  • The following carriers made changes to their Loss Cost Multipliers:
    · Cincinnati Indemnity Co. LCMs for Cincinnati Casualty and Cincinnati Ins. Co. remained unchanged except Cincinnati Ins. Co. added 11 class codes;
    · The Harleysville Companies for all carriers except Haryleysville Preferred;
    · The Hartford Group;
    · The Liberty Mutual Regional Area Market companies filed a new LCM for Peerless Indemnity Co. to create a new tier.
    · Mitsui Sumitomo Ins. Co. of America and Mitsui Sumitomo Ins. USA;
    · The Nationwide companies;
    · The Penn Mutual companies; and
    · The W. R. Berkley Companies filed new LCMs for two of its four carriers: Acadia Ins. Co. and Firemens’ Ins. Co. of Washington, DC.

  • E-Z Work Comp Rater Update: 23 March 2010

  • This Update includes the following changes taking effect 4-1-2010:
    All carriers in the E!Z Work Comp Rater database (99.9% of the PA work comp market) have been updated to reflect the 4-1-2010 Loss Costs recently approved by the Insurance Commissioner. The new loss costs represent an overall average increase of 0.68% over the 2009 loss costs.

    The following carriers made changes to their Loss Cost Multipliers:
    · Church Mutual;
    · Farmland Mutual and Nationwide Agribusiness;
    · Great West Casualty of the Old Republic group. This carriers also revised its Premium Discount plan, Expense Constant, and Terrorism surcharge.
    · Florists Mutual;
    · Highmark Casualty Ins. Co. lowered its LCM;
    · Merchants Mutual and Merchants Preferred;
    · New Jersey Manufacturers;
    · Bituminous Casualty and Bituminous Fire & Marine;
    · Penn Millers Ins. Co.); and
    · The Selective Companies.

  • E-Z Work Comp Rater Update: 21 February 2010

  • * Zenith Ins. Co. dropped the -5.6% deviation it had previously applied to 4 class codes.

  • E-Z Work Comp Rater Update: 1 January 2010

  • This Update includes the following change:
    * EastGUARD Ins. Co. lowered its Loss Cost Multiplier effective 1-1-2010 and reduced its deviation from the group base rates.
